Antje Hübner, Founder/Owner, hubtone PR

Antje In 2007, Antje took over as the Public Relations Manager for Ableton, a globally renowned music software manufacturer.  Antje successfully devised and executed worldwide publicity campaigns, securing previews, reviews, interviews, magazine specials and more, in print, online media, radio and TV. She organized various events and, in addition, was responsible for all media planning, ad bookings and rate negotiations.

Antje was first hired by Ableton as their Business Projects Manager in 2006 to help build the company’s New York distribution office. Antje managed and coordinated a wide array of projects, and her work was essential in leading to a successful office launch. As soon as the New York office was established, she was offered the position of Ableton’s Public Relations Manager.

Prior to her employment at Ableton, Antje was with Matthew Laifer Artists Management in New York City, where, for nearly six years, she worked with emerging talents as well as stars and major arts organizations all over the world. This is also where she successfully coordinated and secured cover stories in German print media for artists on the Laifer roster.

In Germany, Antje had worked for several years as an artist herself before starting with the Opera Agency Tennigkeit in Düsseldorf, Germany. Soon after, she decided to live abroad, and she moved to New York City to be in the center of tremendous cultural and artistic diversity to further pursue a career in artist management.

Antje studied musicology and the performing arts in Hamburg, Germany and appeared as an opera singer and actress in fully staged operas, theatrical productions and television.

Phyllis Stambolian, Consultant

Phyllis Since 2005, when Phyllis moved to New York City, she has worked as a special events manager and public relations associate for long-term projects at The New Yorker magazine, where she was in charge of developing marketing strategies to promote ticket sales to major events, such as “The New Yorker Summit” and “The New Yorker Conference.” She wrote press releases for the New Yorker website and scheduled interviews and public appearances for their writers.

Throughout Phyllis’ career she has worked with diverse companies and non-profit organizations. Among them were John Schreiber’s Lafayette Productions, where she was project manager for a music competition grassroots marketing campaign, and the New York City Department of Education, where she worked on professional development for the school social worker staff. Phyllis has also written the annual report for the Mental Health Association of New York City.

In 2007 she was asked to manage a PR project for “Ben and Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream” in Vermont. During that time she gained firsthand knowledge about marketing and promotions for a socially responsible business. In addition she worked on short-term projects as a personal assistant to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. She also spent time in the flavor development lab testing secret ice cream recipes…

Phyllis holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Vermont and worked for fifteen years as a high school counselor, where she helped many gifted students pursue their passion for the performing arts. In New York she has coached and counseled aspiring performers in ballet, opera, musical theater and jazz.
